After just over one month of classes, I've thrown myself into this law school venture pretty wholeheartedly. The classes I have (Torts, Contracts, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, and Legal Research and Writing) are only now starting to be slightly confusing/difficult, though I honestly think that's more due to the fact that I don't really do my reading or studying anymore.
I'm already starting to slack off.
In other news, I've moved from Royal Oak. I now live in Grosse Pointe Park, about four blocks from the Alter Road - the border with Detroit. Generally, I like my apartment...it's two bedrooms, one bath, with hardwood floors (freshly refinished) throughout. I'm still getting situated, and have yet to unpack at least three boxes of stuff. The only downsides are the incessantly creaky floors, steam heat, and the total lack of a washer/dryer, which itself is a huge pain.
I've also discovered that there is a bit of a mouse problem here in the building (I would say my apartment, but I know it's not originating from here). So far I've only caught two, but it would appear they were the two main mice, because though I have seen one since then, it doesn't appear to have been active. I hate the idea of mice. It's disgusting. Mice are carriers of hanta virus, you know.
Plus, I live across the street from an organic, etc. grocery store/prepared foods place(?), which is pretty awesome. Not to mention the hardware store a couple blocks down the street (the same hardware store they used for the hardware store scenes in Gran Torino, with Clint Eastwood), and the little bakeries and restaurants I've yet to visit.
There was a Farmer's Market every Saturday over the summer, but last weekend was the last one for the year. It's a shame, because that's where I did the majority of my produce shopping for the upcoming week.
I've been feeling very lethargic lately, and annoyed with myself, so I've started getting back into working out. I've started with a personal trainer (through the university) and I hope to whip myself back into shape fairly soon.
I've been feeling so tired lately - I hope that helps.
